SELECTING WITH THE MAGNETIC LASSO TOOL Today, I will teach you to how to use the Magnetic Lasso Tool in Photoshop. But first, What is Magnetic Lasso Tool? -When this used, the border snaps to the edges of the defined areas in the image. You can see the Magnetic Lasso Tool at the lef t side on the third row.   This is the step: 1. Open the file. 2. Select the Magnetic Lasso Tool and make sure New Selection is active in the Options bar. 3. Click the image to set the first fastening point. Fastening points anchor the selection border in place. 4. To draw a freehand segment, keep the mouse button depressed, and then move the pointer along the edge you want to trace. As you move the pointer, the active segment snaps to the strongest edge in the image. But remember, to cancel a selection, press Esc key. 5. If the border doesn't snap to the desired edge, click once to add a fastening point manually. Continue to trace the edge and add fastening points as neede...

What is the Magic Wand Tool?        - The Magic Wand tool it lets you select a consistently colored area without having to trace its outline. This is the magic wand tool So, this is the steps on how to select the magic wand tool: 1. Select the Magic Wand Tool (W). Make sure that the New Selection and Anti-Alias options are selected. The Anti-Alias option creates a smoother-edged selection. 2. Set Tolerance to 10. Tolerance determines the similarity of difference of the pixels selected. The numbers would range from o to 255. A low value will select the few colors very similar to the pixels. you click. A higher value select a broader range of colors. 3. Select the unwanted portion and press Delete . 4. Hi guys! :) Do you know  how to use Selecting Portions of an Image? Using select portions of an image you should be isolated from the other parts of an image. Before applying any changes to any part of an image, its pixels must first be selected. One way to do this is to select an area in the image using the selection tool, such as Lasso, Magnetic Lasso, and Magic Wand. Steps: Selecting with the Lasso Tool 1. Launch Adobe Photoshop 2. Open the file located inside the Practice Files _Pshop6_C3L11 folder . 3. Go to Layers Panel 4. Since we cannot modify a background, double-click Background and name it as "Original Picture" so you can edit this layer. 5. Click OK . 6. Click File > Save As this "your title" in your folder.
